Remote-First With a Real Office

Infraxio is remote-first, but we keep an office in Ponte Vedra. Here is why both matter.

People ask me why Infraxio keeps a physical office in Ponte Vedra if we are a remote-first company. The answer is simple: some conversations are better in person, and having a space for them means those conversations actually happen.

How Remote-First Works for Consulting

Our day-to-day work — code, configuration, client calls, project management — all happens remotely. The tools are good enough now that presence in a shared space adds nothing to a focused implementation session. What remote does well is deep work.

What the Office Is For

The Ponte Vedra office is for strategy sessions, client workshops, and the kind of whiteboarding that does not translate well to a screen share. When a client is kicking off a new engagement, we bring them in. When the team needs to map out a complex integration, we use the room. It is a tool, not a mandate.

Why Northeast Florida

I get asked about the Jacksonville-area location fairly often. St. Johns County and the broader Northeast Florida region have a growing business community, a favorable operating environment, and proximity to clients across the Southeast. For a company that works remotely with clients nationwide, the home base matters less than the quality of the team, but it is a good place to build from.

The Rule

Remote-first means the default is remote. The office is an option, not a requirement. That distinction matters because it keeps the team productive in the mode that works best for the task at hand.
